What Days Work? has no accounts. There is nothing to sign into, no email address to give, and no password. Your first name and the days you mark are the only things that ever leave your phone.
This policy covers What Days Work? only. Other apps in the BogeyApps family have their own policies, because they do different things.
There is no account
The first time you use the app, your phone makes itself a random id. That id is what your answers are filed under. It is not linked to your email, your phone number, your Apple ID or anything else about you, and we have no way to work out who it belongs to.
The honest cost of that is on the app's own settings screen: delete the app and the id goes with it. Your plans stay, and everybody else still sees the answers you gave, but this phone becomes a stranger to them and would have to answer again.
What leaves your phone, and when
When you answer a plan
Answering sends the days you marked, the first name you typed, your phone's own id, and, if you added them, a short note and the option you would prefer. That is stored with the plan so that everybody else in it sees your answer.
When you create a plan
Creating one sends the plan's name, the range of dates, how long the get-together is, and the optional second question you set. It comes back with a six-character code.
Who can see it
Anyone with the code, or with the link that carries it. That is deliberate: the person holding a plan up is usually the one who has not installed anything, and a code you can paste into a group chat is how the question reaches them. What a code opens is a list of first names against some dates. Share it with the group you meant to ask, and not more widely.
Only you can change your own answer. Only whoever created a plan can pick the final date, edit it or call it off.
What we do not collect
No email address. No password. No phone number. No contacts. No location. No advertising, no analytics, no third-party SDKs, no trackers and no data brokers. Nothing here is sold, rented or shared with anyone, and nothing is used to follow you across other companies' apps or websites.
Your calendar is not read
The app never reads your calendar, and it never guesses that you are busy because something else is in your diary. The days you mark are the days you marked.
Once a date is settled you can tap Add to calendar. That opens Apple Calendar or Google Calendar on their own new-event screen with the date filled in, and you press save. Nothing is written without you seeing it first, and no calendar of yours is sent anywhere.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled by your own phone, for plans your phone is already holding. There are no push notifications, no device token and no server that knows your device, which is also why nothing can tell you that somebody else has replied until the app goes and asks.
In Messages
The iMessage extension is the same app in a smaller window. What it sends is a link with a snapshot of the plan in it, so the bubble can draw without fetching anything. It is inserted into the message field for you to send; nothing is ever sent on your behalf, and we never see your conversations, your contacts or anybody's phone number.
Getting your answers removed
There is no account to delete, which is why the app does not offer one. What it does offer, under Settings, is Forget everything on this phone: it clears your name, your id and every plan on this phone's list.
What that cannot do is reach into other people's copies. The honest position is this: whoever created a plan can call it off, which deletes the plan and every answer on it for everybody. If you want your answer taken off a plan somebody else created, ask them to call it off, or write to the address below with the plan's six-character code and we will remove it.
How long things are kept
A plan and its answers are kept while the plan exists. A plan that is called off is deleted outright, along with every answer on it.
Children
What Days Work? is not directed at children under 13, and collects no personal information from anybody beyond a first name they type themselves.
Your rights
Everything the app holds about you is a first name you typed and the days you marked, and both are editable in the app at any time. For anything else, write to the address below.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of What Days Work? collects something this page does not describe, this page is updated before that version ships.
