BogeyGuitar collects nothing, stores nothing about you, and cannot send anything anywhere. This page explains what that means in practice.
This policy covers BogeyGuitar only. Other apps in the BogeyApps family have their own policies, because they do different things.
Data we collect
None. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, and no networking code of any kind. There is no server to send anything to.
The microphone
BogeyGuitar asks for microphone access because a tuner has to hear the string you are playing. That audio is analysed on your device, in memory, to work out the pitch — and then it is gone.
Specifically, audio is never written to storage, never recorded, never played back, and never transmitted. Only about a second of sound exists at any moment, in a buffer that is continuously overwritten and is discarded when you leave the app. Nothing derived from it — no pitch history, no recordings, no fingerprints — is kept after the app closes.
Settings
Your preferences — the tuning, capo position, readout, colour scheme, reference pitch, tolerance and so on — are saved on your device so the app opens the way you left it. They stay on the device, are not synced or uploaded, and are removed when you delete the app.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of BogeyGuitar ever collects anything, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described in the app's release notes.
